Home Life

Here are just some random pictures of whats been happening recently for us all.

Paul enjoying some time with Daddy before he headed out for town one morning!

Time with Mommy!! And Mommy loves it!

One of our friends, Delma, and her mom came over for lunch one day after church, and she loved holding Lishie!

Some PNG foliage :)

A beautiful afternoon fog settling in! This was taken from our driveway.

One of our church members gardens up on the mountain. She has a huge pineapple garden, and has given us so many pineapples during pineapple season! They are so delicious and sweet!!

We saw a beautiful double rainbow! The picture doesn't even do it justice, but it was so bright, I don't ever remember seeing a rainbow so brilliant before, and it looked so close as well. I think we came as close to catching a rainbow as you can get, that day! :)

A beautiful sunrise, this view is from our front door!

Another view of a sunrise! This view is from our kitchen window!!!

We got a huge bunch of bananas!! They were so good!

Paul loves umbrellas and going out in the rain.

Paul was watching a football game at youth night!

Hope you all enjoy the pictures! Im sorry if my thoughts are a bit short and skattered... it's hard to get time to blog when the kids are running around getting into everything, as some of you know;) Thank you again for all of your prayers, and for taking time to keep up with us!!!

Making a Hut a Home

I have been trying to make some things to help with organization, and make our hut into a home, and so I thought I would share a short blog on somethings I've been working on in my spare time ;)

A bathroom organizer for all our toothbrushes and odds and ends!

We had a old rust colored lantern, but I just painted it a Cranberry red. It looks purplish in the picture, but it's just the lighting.

Then I was finally able to finish the pompom curtains for the boys room! It makes it feel cozy to me!

Life as a Family

Elisha is growing very fast, and is already 6 months old! It's hard to believe, although it does seem like so much has happened since the Lord has blessed us in bringing him into our lives!!!
I'm just posting some pics of family life here in png!

Elisha (we call him Lishie, or Baby Bear) has learned to feed himself!

Elisha likes most of all to be held by Daddy or Mommy, and for the most part is totally content to just  be involved in whatever is going on!

We had a really nice morning a few weeks ago, and we all just went outside to enjoy the morning. This pic is of Tim and Paul on our back lawn.

Here is Lishie with one of my friends, Diana.

These next two pic are of me holding Lishie in what they call a "lap-lap" over here. This is what all the nationals hold their babies in. When the baby is asleep, they will slip the "lap-lap" onto a tree or something! You will often see a baby hanging from a tree or post in one of these...

Elisha loves the little kittens we have, and is always so excited when one walks by him! :)

At this time, Lishie was just starting to pull himself up!

Our little happy boy!!!

And our little cuddle bear!!!

Christmas Decorations

The First Christmas here was different from any other Christmas, but we had a wonderful time, and enjoyed making things, and trying to make it feel Christmasy!

Here are some stockings I made out of old sweaters...

I found some greenery off of a "yard" tree... thats what they call the tree here..
and the red berries I found off of a "tunget" plant..

I printed some 3D houses and colored them for a small village...

I made a couch cover for our white couch, that was turning brownish from wear...

Also, Tim got me some yarn so that I could make some garland by finger knitting..

Also, we made a rustic looking wreath from dry passion fruit vines... I was going to try to spray paint it white, (Tim's idea) but we didn't get to it in time...

And we would spend some evenings just drinking hot chocolate and spending time as a family!! It was so nice!!!

Paul was very much enjoying staying up late and drinking hot chocolate with us!!

Tim takes Paul with him a lot on outreach, even if Elisha and I can't go... so here they are, heading out on visitation!!!

Paul has been learning how to pass out tracts this month...

And here is our little sleepy head, about to drop off to sleep!

Then Tim went to Lae one day, and surprised us by buying a Christmas tree!!! It was such a wonderful surprise! I had been praying for one!!! And he found this tree for only about $6.00 and it is about 4 feet tall!!

Paul helping to decorate the Christmas tree for the first time!!

Tim also was able to buy us a washing machine!!! It has been such a huge blessing!! We had been borrowing the Crowe's washing machine before, but now the Lord has blessed us with one of our own!!! We are so thankful!!

And here is Paul enjoying a sweater that Mrs. Bamford sent him!!! Thank you very much!!! It fits perfectly!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and may the Lord continue to draw us all closer to Him in this new year!!!
