Thanksgiving and Travel

Since it has been awhile since I've updated the blog, this post will be about Thanksgiving as well as the couple of weeks following....

As we went were traveling to New Jersey, we stopped overnight at a hotel, and Paul
was enjoying feeding himself a Danish..

Paul was enjoying an early morning wagon ride. Tim's dad usually takes him for a walk
in the morning whenever we are home.

Thanksgiving morning...

On Thanksgiving, It was warm enough that we had dinner on the porch,
but it didn't last too long... soon everyone was gathered in the livingroom!

The next day, we helped Tim's parents put up Christmas decorations!

It is so cosy to see the Christmas lights when it's dark outside.

Paul is in the wagon...helping Daddy change the oil in the car!

Having devotions with Daddy one night!

Paul got tired of riding in the car, so while Daddy was putting air in the tires,
he was driving... only he was in the steering wheel.

We were able to meet Mr. Otto Coning at a church that we visited... for all who may not be familiar with him, He wrote "The pine apple Stories" He was a missionary in Papua New Guinea a long time ago with the cannibals and head hunters...!!!

Having some yummy yogurt!!!

One of our friends, makes these baby slings and sells them on Etsy;
and she gave one to us... I'm not sure I'm wearing it quite right, but it sure is comfortable.

Putting a gift under the tree.

Sleeping on Daddy's shoulder!!!

Count Your Many Blessings

This past week, we have been busy getting ready for Thanksgiving, as I'm sure everyone has been. It has been very enjoyable, and such a blessing to be able to spend it with Tim's family. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways, one thing that has been a tremendous blessing to me these last couple of years is in 2 Corinthians 12:9 "And he said unto me, My strength is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." The Lord's strength is always there, free for the taking... it never runs out! Whenever life gets overwhelming, I can just turn to Him, and find His strength Sufficient! What a wonderful Savior! I'm also so grateful to the Lord for giving me to Tim as a wife, and for giving us Paul together! We have so much to be thankful for!

Paul was having fun playing outside!

He likes sliding down the slide at "Grandma's" house, but he's not
quite big enough to climb the ladder yet..

Walking to "Mommy" like a big boy!!

His favorite thing right now...the wagon!

or should i have said, his favorite thing other than dirt.

All boy!

Grandpa giving Paul a "horsy" ride... bounce, bounce, bounce

Helping to trim the bushes... not sure how much he helped :)

Paul's first tree-climbing adventure, and I'm sure not the last!

After getting all dirty, he loves his bath! That's a really good thing!

Sweet dreams sweetheart!

Just a couple of random pictures we quickly snapped of Paul

He was so cuddly... that doesn't happen too often.

Paul was "helping" Daddy rake leaves.

Daddy did a lot of raking! Thank you Daddy!

I guess he thought he needed both wagons!! What a guy!

Traveling through Texas!

The Lord enabled Tim to schedule some meetings with some churches out in Texas this last month. We had a wonderful time visiting a couple of new churches, as well as some that already support us. The Lord really blessed us, and we are so humbled and thankful for each one's support and prayers and for each thing different people have done for us! Texas is very beautiful in some areas, and rather desert-like in others. Here are some pictures we took while driving through Texas... sorry some of them are blurry... they were taken while we were driving. :)

We passed a cute little restaurant!

Some beautiful farmland and pastures.

I don't know whose house this is, but it was gorgeous!

A beautiful farm!

In Texas, this is a very common sight... oil wells.

A cattle pond.

And a very tired little boy!

Praise the Lord, Paul was really good while we were on the road... it can
get hard to sit still sometime!

Having a bottle with Daddy after we got to the hotel! Poor Daddy
looks exhausted!

Sleeping peacefully!

This is another common sight in Texas!

Lots and lots of windmills!

Can't you just imagine the LONE RANGER coming down the side of this mountain?

A beautiful cattle herd!

I couldn't believe how many trains and railroads we saw while we were in Texas!!
Amazing!

I thought this was a pretty cute building!

This sign was at a rest area. They weren't kidding, because a man came up to me while I was taking the picture and said they had just killed one by the trash can...

One day while in Texas, it was really cold. It never got above 25 degrees they said.
So Tim and I decided to get some games to play! We had such a wonderful time together!

That night it snowed a little!

We also saw an "osprey"... I think that's how it's spelled...
we had never seen that kind of an aircraft in flight before...

We were able to spend some time with my Aunt Mildred... She's always so much fun to be with.
We all had a great time together.

And she spoiled Paul terribly!!! :)

Thank you so much Aunt Mildred!!! We love you!
